Description:
The plane tree is a genus of native trees of the northern hemisphere. The subcategories of this species belong to the family Platanaceae. These are large trees, with a height ranging from 30 to 50 meters, deciduous and are found on river banks and generally in wetlands and places where there is water, but can survive in drought. The flowers of the female trees turn into achenes, which will form the spherical fruit. Usually, the core of the sphere has a diameter of one centimeter, while when peeled it has a diameter of one millimeter, visible to the naked eye. The fruit is 2.5 to 4 cm in diameter and contains several hundred achenes, each of which is conical and located on the surface of the fruit.
Plane tree seeds have a diuretic effect and are used mainly for the better functioning of the entire urinary system. They also have hemostatic, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. They have also been used for gastrointestinal problems, colds, for respiratory problems, gynecological problems and dermatological problems. Finally they have been used against frostbite.
Making Tea: Put 1 teaspoon of the dried seeds in a cup of boiling water and leave it for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Drink up to 2 times a day.
Making Tincture: To make a tincture, take the herb and put it in a bottle with alcohol. The proportions are 5 parts of white alcohol of 70 degrees, for each part of the plant, (which will have been ground in a mixer). Leave it for 5-15 days and shake the container every now and then. After that filter the tincture with a filter paper and put it in another container that can be kept for a long time. The tincture should only be used externally.
