The Silver Birch (Betula pendula) belongs to the family of Betulaceae. It is a deciduous tree that reaches a height of 20-25 meters. It is a cold-blooded genus and grows throughout the northern hemisphere. Its leaves are ovate and toothed, thin and sticky, the flowers are gray and drooping while the fruits are small spores. It blooms in spring and the collection of leaves and flowers takes place in mid-summer.
