3253 100% Flax/Linen Bento Bag Honey hand stitched large size.

This handy Bento Bag was developed in the 16th century around 1534-1573 to help the people of Japan carry their lunches to work, as well as carrying fruits and vegetables small tools, and to corral anything that would fit in the bag.  In the present day, it serves the same purpose but also is recyclable, washable, and spares the use of paper and plastic bags.

It was made in our home quilting and weaving studio, which is latex-safe, pet-free and smoke-free. Made in the USA.

The beautiful honey color of the 100%0flax/linen fabric was hand stitched with linen thread  with stitching style from the hand stitching guide from the 18th century. A true labor of love.

Just so you have an idea of size, the bag in the picture that shows the bag tied shut, has a 5 pound bag of flour in it and there is room to spare .

This bag has many uses. Once you have one you will need many because you will find so many things you can use them for. I like them for quilting, knitting and crocheting as project bags. I also use them for gift bags, collecting produce from the garden, packing up a lunch, corralling small objects, holding crystals, carrying nails, screws and small tools for home repair projects, carrying kids toys on walks and in the car  and the list goes on. I use them for everything. Not only are they beautiful, they're washable and recyclable. I'm sure you'll find many other uses for them too.

I have many more beautiful fabrics I plan to use to make more. So please check back often. Also if there's something unique or would like to have a certain fabric made into a bento bag please email me and let me know what you need. I would be happy to help. Thank you so much for looking we really appreciate your business.
