Majestic Large 15" High Quality Chinese Empress Porcelain Elegant or Imperial Court Noble Lady Hand Painted Seated Figurine Statue. High end, stunning, delicate and exquisite Chinese porcelain enameled & accented with gold gilt. This statue is larger than most other seated Chinese lady figurines and more vibrant in color compared to other colors. The following was researched and is exclusive to this listing. "Her mint green gown is embroidered with flowers outlined in delicate gold gilt. It is a high quality piece executed by a master artisan. Please note the boldness and brightness of the gold gilt accents. An artist commented, the quality of the piece should be measured by the hands. In this case, the hands are delicate, the fingers and nails are elegant and long, proportional and highly detailed. Despite age, all of her long fingernails are delicately pointed and intact as shown in the photos. She is holding a small golden book in one hand and seems to be contemplating the passage she is reading. Her golden basket is overflowing with an abundance of lotus flowers with curved petals. A beautiful and gorgeous composition all around & every more impressive up-close and in-person. The more you look, the more you see - her jade drop earrings, elaborate headpiece, double strung necklace, a shawl elegantly draped over her shoulders, her breastplate necklace, rust colored ribbons on either side of her bodice, a golden yellow ribbon tied at her waist and finished off with gold/rust pendants. The artisan handiwork is exceptional." Details are hard to appreciate in photos. This is a vintage item and not in perfect condition. Noted 2 of the flower petals in the basket and 2 or 3 in her headdress are nipped but might be hard to detect in photos because they blend in. One of the flowers in her headress on the right side looks like it is nipped but actually it has errant black paint from her hair on the side of the petal that gives the illusion that the petal is nipped. On the left side of her robe there is a small black dot in the folds of the robe and there is a small blue dot missing in the blue dot pattern on the right side of her chest. There may be other defects that we have not spotted but remember this is a vintage piece and everything described in this paragraph blends in so it’s hard to detect.
