The red clover, is a herbaceous species of flowering plant in the bean family Fabaceae, native to Europe, Western Asia, and northwest Africa, but also found in many other regions. It has smooth leaves that can reach 30-80 cm high. The leaves are trifoliate, toothed and the flowers are light purple. It blooms from July to September. This aromatic herb is used in Europe as a spice for casserole dishes. Its fresh leaves are eaten together with boiled greens, soups and salads, enriching the food. While its seed sprouts can be included in every salad, even in sandwiches.

The Red Clover is considered as one of the most useful herbs for skin diseases(eg psoriasis, eczema, acne).
