The second movement of exquisite beauty fascinated by masters

Schubert's octet with the participation of world-famous violinist Isabelle Faust is now available on the SACD single layer. This is a Japanese original limited edition that was provided by the Harmonia Mundi label and remastered at King Sekiguchidai Studio. With the introduction of SACD, it seems that you can feel the expanse of a rich space as if you were at the performance site.

Schubert's octet consisting of clarinet, horn, bassoon, string quartet, and contrabass. Schubert's chamber music is the largest piece of chamber music, and many masters have recorded it, but Isabelle Faust recorded it with gorgeous co-stars and period instruments! Schubert's music "Octet" is said to contain the joy of living. It is a work like a series of moments that touches the heart and the strangely moving moments of Schubert's instrument. And the second movement of exquisite beauty. I am just reminded of the wonderfulness of Schubert's music, such as the delivery of the tunes of each player, and the chemical reactions that occur when the wonderful performers "ensemble". An octet by members Faust says he had no other companions on Schubert's journey through the musical world. It is the best 70 minutes.

All string players are members of the Freiburg Barock Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, and the wind instruments are at the forefront of period instruments such as the same Coppola (clarinet), Zvart (horn), and Zafra (bassoon) in the Freiburg Barock Orchestra. Players to play. The intimate tones of the period instruments they play bring back the colors of the work, and each passage seems to be lively.

Schubert's octet was composed in March 1824 and is the largest piece of Schubert's chamber music. It was composed at the request of Count Ferdinand, who loved the clarinet. The Count often performed on music evenings at the lawyer's house at the time, with Schubert in and out. The Count also co-starred with Schuppanzig, a violinist who was also known as an excellent performer of Mozart and Beethoven's string quartets. Beethoven's septet was so popular at the time that he asked Schubert to do something similar. It was published once in 1853, more than 20 years after Schubert's death, except for the 4th and 5th movements, and all songs were published in 1875. It was composed at the same time as the string quartet "Rosamunde" and "Death and the Maiden", and immediately after that, "The Daughter of the Beautiful Water Wheelhouse" was completed. Instead of the standard four-movement composition of symphonies and string quartets at the time, it has the same six-movement composition as Beethoven's septet, which is divertimento, that is, for fun. The color is strong. It is a work full of heavenly beauty tunes.

"Five Minuets" is a string quartet work with few opportunities to perform. For this recording, two menuets are arranged and played in an octet version. Arranged by Argentine French Oscar Stransnoy, a friend of Faust, and known in the fields of chamber opera, cantatas and songs. Each of the jewel-like passages written by Schubert has been brilliantly re-knitted for octets, making us aware of the appeal of this work. With this SACD conversion, the tones of all instruments seem to feel smoother and closer.
