For sale is a Canon IIIa (1952) with a dedicated Serenar 50mm f/1.8 lens
and original L-frame for tripod.

CAMERA
As far as I can say, without testing it with a film, camera is in a working order.
The only issue I found is that "T" mode in a slow speeds doesn't work as it should. B mode works. Slow speeds works, but I have no way of checking their accuracy.
By listening only, they sound about right, maybe slightly longer.

Shutter fires at all speeds, rangefinder patch is solid (visibility) and rangefinder with Serenar seems well aligned. Viewfinder is a bit dim in my opinion.

Winding knob is turning nice and easy, transport rotates. Shutter cloth seems to be in a fair condition, but I couldn't check if it is light tight (don't know how with this camera, without film testing).

Cosmetically, camera is in a nice condition. There is a very small deformation on the bottom plate from mounting it on a tripod.
Usual traces of use, nothing excessive.
Please check the images and ask for more info if needed.

LENS

Lens has optical issues - there is some sort of dirt map inside, could be separation?
Other than that, there are some faint cleaning marks and lot of dust. I don't see fungus though.
Focus works, aperture works and has a little oil on the blades. Cosmetically, lens is in a rather nice condition.
Last two images were taken with this lens on my Sony A7RII camera with the adapter. Images comes straight from the camera.

What is included: Camera and lens, original iron heavy L-frame with the removable silver tripod plate. L-frame is in a nice condition, the original leather pouch is broken and needs repair.

This is a private auction, no returns.
