Here we have the 5th and final LINDY Bike Badge, by the Shelby Cycle Co. These badges came out after Charles Lindbergh made the 1st non stop solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean in May of 1927 in his "Spirit of St. Louis" Airplane. This style of LINDY Badge was used from 1946 through 1950.

This bike badge was screen printed on polished aluminum, and features a more modern airplane crossing the Ocean. This vintage Shelby bicycle was made in Germany for the Shelby Cycle Co. of Shelby, Ohio; right after the WW2 war was over. It was a last ditch effort to capitalize on Charles Lindbergh's heroic effort. It measures 2 1/4 inches from top to bottom.
