Zinsser®Scandinavian Oil hardens in the wood, not on the wood. Zinsser Scandinavian Oil is a unique blend of penetrating oil & varnish that stains, seals and protects in one easy step. Scandinavian Oil penetrates deep into wood pores to protect from within and to enhance the natural look and feel of the wood. It creates the rich, warm glow of a traditional hand-rubbed finish. Zinsser Scandinavian Oil will not chip, peel or wear away. Many projects can be completed in less than an hour - simply brush or wipe on and wipe off.

ALL SURFACES

Remove any existing finishes with sandpaper or liquid stripper. Prepare bare wood for staining by sanding in the direction of the grain. TESTING COLOUR

Be sure to test your stain to verify the desired colour. To test, apply the stain in an inconspicuous area.

Pre-treat soft woods, such as pine, by lightly wiping the wood’s surface with a cloth moistened with Zinsser Scandinavian Oil in Natural. Immediately wipe the surface completely dry and proceed with testing Zinsser Scandinavian Oil for colour on hidden section of wood.
