Antique Pope Gosser China Teapot

Pope Gosser China was founded in 1902, with production starting in 1903. Early examples of their work were marked with the Clarus Ware mark. They then used the ‘Pope-Gosser China’ mark until about 1908, when they adopted the Unicorn mark. This information tells us that the maker's mark on this teapot dates it to before 1908.

Measures approximately 8 1/2" from handle to spout x 4" high with top on x 6" wide from side to side

GOOD USED CONDITION WITH MINIMAL WEAR

Some wear to gold accents, especially the handle and the spout. There is a line that follows the outline of the spout and handles where they are attached to the pot; it gives the appearance of a crack but it is under the glaze; the glaze itself is not cracked (must be something caused by the firing process).
