Does not come with screw holes but I will leave room on each side, in case you need to make a hole.

I can attach double-sided industrial tape to the back at your request. 

It is stronger than regular tape, but once applied can be difficult to remove after applied firmly to a surface.

Most of the time, font size will be at or larger than the minimum Coast Guard regulations of .25".
When I am engraving just your HIN number there is plenty of room. If you ask me to engrave additional letters such as HULL IDENTIFICATION:, the Vessels name, ect and then the numbers below, this will decrease the font size.
