Product introduction
Inheriting tradition! Enjoy the real thrill of the orchestra, R. Strauss BOX!
Richard Strauss (1864-1949), a composer representing the late Romantics, is an important composer who has established one of the goals of the Romantics in symphonic works and operas that make full use of large orchestras. A BOX set with a new recording that collects his representative orchestral works into seven pieces.
Two orchestras with a connection to "actually shook by R. Strauss" led by Andris Nelsons, one of the leading conductors of the present age, are appointed. R. Strauss has often been on the podium of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra since 1887 and was appointed as the first official guest conductor in 1907. The then chief conductor Nikisch programmed all nine R. Strauss symphonic poems Zyklus in 1920/21 (100 years ago!) In his final season, and since then has a long tradition of playing R. Strauss. It has been built. Meanwhile, R. Strauss, who toured the United States on a large scale in 1904, praised the Boston Symphony Orchestra, saying, "I conducted a wonderful concert here with one of the greatest orchestras in the world."
Top-notch virtuosos such as Yo-Yo Ma for Don Quijote and Yuja Wang for Burleske are participating.
