Vintage SPOT SEARCH LIGHT 8 1/2” diameter TILT RAY HEADLAMP Bullet head enclosure with a depth of approximately 9” that I believe to be for old maritime boat or possibly a fire truck. Almost all of the pivoting arm is made of brass which was once coated in chrome. Ball end handle has patent mark on both ball and one section of arm. Arm extends 14” approximately below first eschushion. I hand brushed a few areas with soft brass to expose potential. All of the arm hardware is original except for maybe one bolt and appears to be made of plated copper parts. Arm is solid and functions appropriately to the best of my knowledge. The head needs work having indents that will need to be hammered gently back into original shape, but there are no split seams in metal housing. Unit will need to be rewired as whomever did it in past did a bad job. The lens is missing and would need to be approximately 7 1/2” to shortest point and 8” to longest point to fit under rim. Rim is intact with screw bolt being rather rusty, but still engaging. Most of the work needed on unit is on the head. All the parts are present except for glass lens and rubberized gasket to seal bullet head enclosure from elements. I hope to have provided a detailed description of the item and if there is information missing, please don’t hesitate to ask for it. This is a project piece that deserves to come back to life. Please see detailed pictures for overall condition, notes mentioned above and overall features.
