this magazine dedicated exclusively to modern military aviation worldwide.
Contains articles on air forces, aircraft types, airbase visits etc plus
some military aviation news. A4 size, 50 pages each, glossy paper,
many color photos (no b+w photos). Some English photo captions. First
published 1989. 10 issues per year (July-August and September-October
were combined issues). Ceased publication with issue 43, and later
replaced by ‘Air Zone’ (see below). Edited by Jean-Michel Guhl.
2 issues of Air Power International Volumes 22 and 23 (1996) ... looks like the first issue came out in 1994.."Air Power International’ was originally launched as a monthly magazine,
but went bi-monthly from issue 20 (April/May 1996). Illustrated
entirely in color, it was a largely pictorial magazine concentrating on
modern military aviation worldwide. Following a well-illustrated news
section, each issue comprised a series of short 2-5 page articles with
several photographs and the minimum of text plus a longer article across
the center spread of 10-15 pages. The feature articles mostly comprised
photographic reports from airshows, military exercises, base visits and
other newsworthy events. A high-quality glossy A4 size full color
magazine with 48 pages and more than 80 color photographs in each
issue. The first issue was dated September 1994. Reached at least
Issue 24 (December 1996/January 1997).
