We bring to your attention a very rare collectible photo album, which belonged to a soldier of the regiment of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR. Served 1985-1987.

The album is in collectible condition and consists of 18 pages, in total - 74 original photographs. The title page of the album is decorated with a handmade copper plate depicting Felix Dzerzhinsky, the founder of the Soviet special services. 

The internal troops of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs are military formations (analogous to the gendarmerie), which were designed to ensure law and order and internal security of the USSR, protect state facilities, protect human and civil rights and freedoms from criminal and other illegal encroachments, and ensure public safety.

On the territory of the USSR, riots repeatedly broke out, the cause of which was social tension, interethnic disagreements, illegal actions of the authorities and many other reasons. In all cases, the Internal Troops (in rare cases, units of the Soviet Army) were involved in eliminating mass riots.

Also, the Internal Troops had to pacify numerous riots that arose in correctional institutions (prisons) among prisoners.
