Vintage Handcrafted Leather Pants Articulos de Piel for NBL Pitiquito Sonora Mexico 30 (North Beach Leather) Hand Written Label. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.

Incredibly beautiful leather pants (in my opinion). Estimate circa 1970s (ish). If you know the brand, then you’ll know the history. I’ve seen these pieces for thousands of dollars. I read that Elvis had a North Beach Leather leather suit jacket/jacket which was custom made by this brand. It is said that he left it behind during his travels and it was being auctioned with an estimated selling price in the tens of thousands. I do not know what it sold for (or if it sold). I just know the information that I have found regarding the brand (this handwritten label). So, I thought I’d share what I have read. If you research, you should easily be able to find some info. The “N. B. L.” on the handwritten label stands for North Beach Leather. It seems that this is one of the earlier North Beach Leather pieces.

Unfortunately, I do not have the history on this particular pair of pants. I can only tell you that they were found/sourced in California (greater San Francisco Bay Area).

All pics are of the same one pair of pants. See all 12 pics for details & enlarge each pic for a closer look. Any spots/stains/soiling, water marks or ink pen mark which may be from the same pen that was used when the label was written in pen (see pic 11 & 12 as some things are pointed out) or anything else is to be considered character. These do have a scent to them if you sniff them. I have come across this with other vintage leather clothing from around this era. I’d best describe it as an auto shop (almost gasoline or oil or petroleum type) scent. I think it may have to do with how the leather was treated/dyed and/or tanned. I do not know. If you collect vintage leather, you will probably know what I am describing. It’s not a dirty or musty smell. The pants are really quite clean overall. See the inside out side. It’s just something you notice if you sniff them. If I notice anything, I mention it.

These are as is which is just as pictured and described. If you have questions, please do ask.
