Here are my designs for the Mighty Mississippi issue! I always say that I will never do a multi-stamp combo issue again....but, this issue challenged me to do it for a couple of reasons, the first being that stamps themselves were a little boring and the second being that every design I came up with looked like a POSTCARD....not a CACHET!!

I solved the problem by going to 'Hollywood' for help, as I usually do when I'm STUMPED for designs! I used images from Movies, T.V. and cartoons that were somehow related to WATER and went from there! These are surely 'WAY OUT OF THE BOX', but they were fun to put together. THE MOST LIMITED EDITION I'VE DONE...ONLY 8 EACH, one set will be retained by me, five sold as sets and two sets broken up for single sales!

I KNOW YOU 'NAY-SAYERS' will say that the Mississippi doesn't have WHALES or SHARKS and most of the characters depicted never sailed the MIGHTY MISS! And to you I respond in the words of the greatest movie maker that ever lived, Edward Wood, who said, 'HAVEN'T YOU EVER HEARD OF THE SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF ?? To those who like rarity and oddity.
