This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1890.  The marking indicates this year.  It was produced especially for the renowned retailer Daniell of London. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/8 inches.  The cup is 1 7/8 inches tall with a diameter of 2 inches.  The set is made of fine, white bone china.  The ground color is rich cobalt blue.  Medallions containing tiny hand painted pink roses dot the surface of the cup and ring around the saucer border.  They are all framed with laurel leaf gilding.  The rims and handle are trimmed with gold.  #C786
