This eye plate is used for tying off small ropes ropes, such as when hanging fenders from boat hulls, tying down covers or awnings, or securing animals and similar tasks.   Lots of uses around your boat, horsebox, caravan, camper or home.

These eye plates are very robust and strong BUT THEY ARE NOT LOAD TESTED AND SHOULD NEVER BE USED FOR LIFTING PURPOSES.   THEY ARE NOT SOLD AS LIFTING RINGS!
