Quench works in standard peat/soil based potting mixes. 

Simply insert Quench into the soil of your plant and compact the soil around the sensors. 

When Quench detects that the soil is dry and your plant needs water, it will produce a unique tone so you'll never neglect your plant again. At night, Quench lights up red instead. 

For dry-loving plants (seldom watering) ---> Insert Quench deeper (~level 3-4)

For water-loving plants (frequent watering) ---> Insert Quench shallower (~level 1-2)
