This listing is for a repair kit for Thorens motors.
This small device will stop the annoying knocking noise that comes from the thrust bearing of ageing Thorens motors.
It will fit the motors of the following Thorens turntables:

TD-150 Mk I & Mk II
TD-160 (all variants)
TD-165
TD-166
TD-145 (all variants)
TD-146 (all variants)
TD-147
TD-125 Mk I & Mk II
TD-126 Mk I & Mk II (warning! it won't fit the Mk III motor!!!)

The main body is made from machined Extruded Acetal H.
Extruded Acetal H offers high tensile strength, stiffness, and creep resistance, and significantly outperforms many other polymers on impact resistance, allowing for lighter part design. In addition it offers outstanding low and high temperature performance
The grub screw is made of high tensile steel.

The installation is extremely simple and an instruction sheet is included with the kit.
The stopper need to be glued to the motor, glue IS NOT included and we recommend to use good quality cyanoacrylate.

Included with the kit is:
1 Knock stopper
1 Alcohol swab
1 2.5mm Allen key

The motor is not included, the pictures 3-4-5-6 show the installation process.

People asking why our stop knock has not the steel ball at the end like others.
Here is the answer:
Our plunger has a flat face (the pictures show a prototype with hollow centre) instead of a ball bearing glued on it, and this is for two valid reasons:
1) With a ball bearing, you have to centre the motor's axis pin perfectly; otherwise, it will rest on a slope, generating a side force that will damage the motor's brass bush in the long term.
2) After long hour of work the ball bearing will heat up and slowly compromise the glue.
