This is a Vintage 1958 Photograph (I don't see an artist or photographer stamp) of Arabian Filly "Starrdana" of Jordan Arabian Farm! This photograph was used for illustration in "The Light Horse Breeds" by John W. Patten (as seen in 7th picture above). 

This photo was originally displayed in the John W. Patten Wing at the Elizabeth, NJ, Public Library. Then it was to be displayed at the Horse Park of New Jersey and finally at a private horse museum. Many of the pictures in this collection have been used in equine books and magazines over the last 80 years.

Please see pics for condition and ask questions if you have them. There may be some small imperfections due to age of photo (small creases and light blue crop marks).

 John W. Patten (1896-1995): 

John W. Patten was a WWI veteran, second in charge of shipping 2,000 horses from the U.S.A. to France for use in battle. A jockey, owner & trainer. A consultant for Latin American horse racing tracks, historian for the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey, author of six equine books and thousands of articles. His most well known work is "The Light Horse Breeds".
