CONDITION :  Excellent without defects of any kind.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced by Haviland Limoges and decorated in the United States by the Stouffer Studio around 1900.  Stouffer was one of many Chicago decorating studios professionally hand painting china at the turn of the century.  Many examples of Souffer are found in the book,"Pickard China" by Alan B. Reed. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 1 3/4 inches high.  The set is beautifully hand painted and artist signed.  The design is representative of the art nouveau period.  Large flowing poppies stretch across the porcelain.  The ground color is a pleasant mint green.  There are black painted accents on the heavy gilding.  This is a vibrant and exciting cup and saucer.  #E22
