Marissa Christine hand knit, graphic sweaters, were very high end items sold through upscale retailers and all the rage back in the ‘80s. Now they’re enjoying a revival along side “Ugly Christmas Sweater” trend.

Themed (but definitely NOT “ugly” these Halloween design sweaters are perfect for the party goer who doesn’t want to wear a costume but still wants to be festive for the Halloween season.   This crew neck version has a fabulous big black cat - with red bow which is satin appliqué on a deep blue background - a happy Jack-O-Lantern under a full moon and 2 little bats on the front.    The back is decorated with spooky ghosts.  Much of the detail is hand embroidered onto the characters, making it a high quality designer item.  

While it’s marked a “S” it is definitely NOT a present day small sizing.   The chest measures (see photo) measures 38 inches, the length from collar back to hem is 26 inches, and the sleeve from center neck is 28 inches.    It has its original shoulder pads which you probably want to remove.

Fiber is cotton/ramie.   Hand Knit.   In clean and excellent condition.   From a non-smoking home.
