If the note accompanying this book is accurate then this is indeed a nice little bit of book writer's history.

According to the hand written note, by whom it was written I do not know, this books inscription signed "Uncle Ernie" and dated Sept. 24, 1975 was in fact written by the introduction author, American lawyer, newspaperman, author, intelligence liaison and former professional football player, Ernest Cuneo.

Also according to the note, the person to whom it is inscribed was Pulitzer Prize winning author, James A Michener. A brief web search reveals the name of his 3rd wife to be Mari who is also named in the inscription so that information seems to line up.

The note goes on to state this book was part of Mr. Mitcheners personal library.

Condition of the book is Very Good with major defects illustrated in the photos. It is price clipped and has had some pressure deformation of the text block on the bottom from pp 237-260
