Gorgeous 8” Replogle Illuminated Reference Globe dating to 1946. Wired. Working. Looks beautiful illuminated. Composed of paper gores over glass with a gold tone metal half-meridian and black and gold metal base. Black and white time dial at top of globe. Stands between 11 and 12 inches tall. Cord is long, 70+ inches. Primary color is an aqua green-blue. Very minor wear commensurate with age and use. Based on guidance published by Replogle re: country names, this globe dates to 1946. Oldest names are Trans Jordan and Philippine Islands. Ceylon, Siam, pre-divided Korea, Gold Coast, Belgian Congo… all there.
