The PoE Extneder does not require local power and is powered by an upstream Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch. (through INPUT port)
The PoE Extneder max total output 24Watt(output1+output2).

OUTPUT1 is always Passive PoE in any case,regardless of upstream is 802.3AT or Passive PoE switch.
The power output pin of the OUTPUT1 port is always Mode B(4/5+,7/8-), regardless of upstream POE Switch using Mode A (1/2+,3/6-) or Mode B(4/5+,7/8-) power supply way.

However,when connecting different types of upstream PoE switches,the output voltage of OUTPUT1 is different.

1.When the INPUT is connected to the 802.3AT/802.3AF POE Switch, the OUTPUT1 output voltage is DC48-55V. In this case, the OUTPUT1 port is compatible with 802.3AT and 802.3AF POE devices. It is not compatible with 12V/24V Passive POE devices. Otherwise, the Passive POE device may be damaged.
2.When the INPUT is connected to the Passive POE Switch(DC12-57V), the output voltage of OUTPUT1 is always the same as that of the Passive POE Switch. For example, when 24V Passive POE Switch is connected, the output voltage of OUTPUT1 is also 24V to enable the 24V Passive POE device to work.

When 802.3at/af or Passive (DC12-57V)POE switches are connected to the INPUT,the RJ45 network cable on the OUTPUT2 only transmits data,the output of 5.5*2.1DC cable is always DC12V1A.

When used only as a POE Extender Repeater:
Max Cascade connect 3 POE Extender when working with 802.3at PoE Switch. Maximum length of 400 meters (about 7 Watt at the end).
Recommanded use with 802.3at PoE Switch, using 802.3af PoE Switch may cause insufficient power of IP camera.
If the passive POE switch with the voltage of 24V is used for cascading,please consider the voltage loss caused by longer network cables. The total length of network cables is suggested not more than 100M.
