A selection of Bruckner's symphonies filmed by director Akio Jissoji and performed by the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Takashi Asahina was released on DVD by Shaei Co., Ltd. in 2010 and became a hot topic, but it continued to be difficult to obtain. In response to requests for a re-release, it will be up-converted and released on Blu-ray.
All of them are Bruckner, which is Asahina's specialty, and I can say that the goodness of the width, the size and depth of the music cannot be imitated.
The upconversion also makes the image quality clearer, allowing you to fully enjoy the great art.
