CONDITION:  Excellent, without defects.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by a Staffordshire pottery in the early 19th century.  There are several companies which used an impressed letter “B” to identify themselves.  The plate measures 9 3/4 inches in diameter.  It is made of fine, white bone china of considerable weight.  The decoration is hand painted.  Exotic birds in vibrant colors are painted in a vignette at the top of the plate and in flight around the surface.  Lacy hand gilding trims the rim.  It is evident that the manufacturer of this plate produced high quality products. #E68
