Made in Melbourne, Australia in the 1930s these fabulous Speedie electric kettles are a classic Australian icon, famous for their art deco design and quickly became a status symbol during the depression era. 
Now highly collectable they are just as readily appreciated by a retro lover and can be used as decor, a water jug, vase, display, gifting.
This kettle is in great vintage condition. Sticker on base. All components are original, including Bakelite lid. Original element is intact, though there is no origninal lead and therefore this item is UNTESTED.
