Stunning Chinoiserie Cream Laquered Elliott Mantel Bracket Clock Japanned Paint.

This lovely Elliot mantel clock has a shaped top to the case with a small shaped brass carry handle. There is then a moulding to the top edge leading to the square body of the case. There is then another moulding to the base which is followed by four small, round brass feet. The whole case then has a lovely cream lacquer And is hand painted with fabulous chinoiserie people, flowers, trees, and houses. The case also has lovely gold detailing which finishes the case perfectly.

The dial is then brass with a silvered chapter ring set out in black Roman numerals with a thin ring to the outside marking the minutes. The dial then has four lovely brass cherub spandrils to each corner. The dial then has engraving to the centre as well as being signed “An Elliott CLOCK” and “MADE IN ENGLAND”. Finally the dial is finished by two lovely shaped hands as well as a bevelled glass set into the brass bezel.

The movement is then both wound and adjusted from the back. The movement ticks away and works as it should!
