This lovely sphere is Ocean Jasper from Madagascar. The stone is well known for its diversity in colours. If you look at the other Ocean Jasper the two stones look like entirely different minerals.
This piece has some amazing multi coloured orbicular patterning that Ocean Jasper is truly known for. The sphere unlike most of ocean jaspers has no vugs, chips or caverns. It's well polished48, and velvety to touch.
Ocean Jasper is a variety of circle Jasper that is found at the edge of the ocean in Maravato, Madagascar. It is collected from the base of a cliff and the site is only accessible at low tide and by boat. The name comes from its seaside origin.
