This listing is for a Beautiful , Rare Antique and mint Condition Oriental Area Rug / Carpet , Possibly Either an Irish Donegal or a French / Spanish Savonnerie , Measuring 48 inches by 72 inches ( 4 x 6 feet ) overall Not including about 1 inches of Flat Woven Ends tucked under on the two ends, weighing 17.5 lbs net.

Pile IS Wool and I think Warp and Weft IS also wool though have not tested warp and weft.
It has been soak washed multiple times, last on 9/16/22 by a textile conservator and it is cleaner than it originally was, clean enough to touch face with.
Regardless of origin , I consider this rug very rare and one of a kind, like of which you probably won't see again.
