     ( High-Collectible ) (" New Arrivals Gallery ")  The province of Kurdistan is situated in the northwest part of Iran. its capital today is Sanandaj , but in the context of carpets,the older name ,BIJAR ( BIDJAR ) is still used.
Around the province the Kurdish people weave strong , durable carpets with juicy patterns . Carpets from the city of BIJAR ( BIDJAR ) gives an elegant impression with a fine design and tasteful patterns. They are very appreciated both in and out of Iran. The pattern consist of " Foreign Flower Design " Locally called "Guli Farang". The rug is dominated by light mustard yellow, light salmon , sage green , teak brown colors.
The fine weave of BIJAR ( BIDJAR ) rugs allows for intricate detail within each individual element depicted in the rug . Its consummate craftsmanship on such a small scale, coupled with its superb wool quality, further attests to the great magnitude of this extraordinarily well-preserved nearly 150 - year old kilim.
