Thanks to Mesh 2.0 technology, a robust and reliable connection is created. The individual units of the Sena 50S exchange active information at an astonishing speed. The flexible intercom system searches for an optimal transmission path via each Mesh 2.0 unit so that a conversation can be successfully transmitted from driver to driver. Unparalleled intercom audio quality and robust connectivity are the results of Mesh 2.0 technology. The Mesh 2.0 network has been tested in the most demanding situations and has proven that it can keep the communication connection with your passengers clear and stable.

Open-mesh multi-channel communication and private group conversations
The Sena 50S offers three different communication modes: Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom™, Group Mesh Intercom™ and Bluetooth® Intercom. The Multi-Channel Open Mesh Intercom™ (Open Mesh) offers Mesh Intercom™ with a multi-channel system. The function is similar to a CB radio and allows the Sena 50S to switch between nine different channels while the device is in Open Mesh mode. A single push of a button connects to the Mesh 2.0 Intercom network. This makes it possible to connect to an almost unlimited number of users with a range of up to 2 km. This simplified connection method offers immense added value for large groups. If private group communication is preferred, there is the option to switch to Group Mesh Intercom™ mode. With this mode a private group can be created with up to 24 participants, which have the same reach as in Open Mesh mode. To ensure privacy, only invited users can join group communication. There is also the option of establishing classic 4-way Bluetooth communication. This allows other Sena devices to be connected to each other within a range of up to 2 km. No matter which communication mode you choose, with the Mesh 2.0 network you will enjoy a reliable and stable connection from Sena.

Premium sound by Harman Kardon
The 50S is equipped with Sound by Harman Kardon and therefore offers a completely new sound experience. The speakers and microphone were developed in collaboration with the audio experts at Harman Kardon for first-class sound. The microphone is equipped with a state-of-the-art sensor, which ensures optimal performance for voice transmission while driving. The speakers offer very high sound quality.

Easy control with voice commands
To operate your 50S, voice commands give you easy control over the communication system's functions, such as answering phone calls or starting a group mesh session. Voice commands are available in eight languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Russian. The 50S connects to Google and Apple digital assistants and allows full use of your smartphone, including GPS navigation, music playback, voice dialing and a variety of other options. Do you need the fastest route to the nearest gas station? Would you like to know where the nearest restaurant is? Do you need a hotel for the night? Or would you like to play your current playlist? All you have to say is "Hey Siri" or "Hey Google"!

Fast charging and automatic updates with the Sena WiFi adapter
The 50S is only approx. Fully charged in one hour and allows a talk time of up to nine hours in Mesh Intercom mode or up to 14 hours in Bluetooth Intercom mode. If the device is connected to the quick charge for 20 minutes, you can talk for up to 3.5 hours in Mesh Intercom mode or up to 6 hours in Bluetooth Intercom mode. The scope of delivery includes a WiFi adapter that ensures that your communication system is always charged and it can also be programmed so that the available firmware updates are automatically installed on the device. To do this, the adapter must be connected to your WiFi network to set it up once. It will then be able to detect and automatically install updates once your device is connected.

An app for the 50 series
With the Sena 50 Utility App you can optimize your 50S directly from your smartphone. With the app you can not only adjust and personalize various settings on the 50S, but also, for example, set up the Bluetooth intercom pairing or configure the channel settings for Open Mesh or set a private group for Group Mesh. And if you want to give your music a boost, the app includes audio equalizer presets that let you explore brand new musical soundscapes.

Note on the disposal of used batteries

The following notice is aimed at those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form delivered to them (end users):

1. Free return of old batteries

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return old batteries so that they can be disposed of correctly. You can hand in used batteries at a municipal collection point or at your local store. As a battery distributor, we are also obliged to take back old batteries, although our take-back obligation is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our range. You can therefore either send used batteries of the type mentioned above back to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge directly to our shipping warehouse at the address given in the legal notice.

2. Meaning of the battery symbols

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed out garbage can (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury, more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium or more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located under the garbage can symbol - where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb " stands for lead and "Hg" for mercury.
