Some 2500 of these new Chilian 50 Centavos were recovered from the wreak. These were sealed in plastic cases by Global Certification Services inc.. They were not graded but guaranteed to be from the wreak of the S.S. Central America which sank in 1857. The coin itself looks to be in mint condition, but after 150 years in the sea it is discolored. See the pictures to judge the condition. If you had it graded by PCGS it would value higher.
