Felix: The Ultimate Field Watch
For some, a watch is a quick way to track the time; for others, it’s
a work of art, a constant source of enjoyment. In the case of our
first homegrown timepiece—designed entirely in-house—it’s
both. Latin for “lucky,” the Felix is a take-anywhere,
do-anything timepiece you’ll never leave at home. It’s a
combination of features that puts the needs of the wearer above all
else. With a Swiss-made movement, a handsomely sculpted stainless
steel case, a double-domed sapphire crystal, and a 100-meter
water-resistance rating, the Felix is built to thrive under any
conditions.
Subtle Details Make All the Difference
Though the Felix’s design draws from the past, we’ve incorporated some modern updates to bring it confidently into the present. Like a traditional field watch, it has markings to track time on a 24-hour scale. Instead of a flat dial, the Felix features a gentle upward scallop around the edges to create a sense of depth. The triangular indexes are white and orange to pop against the black backdrop. To add sportiness, there’s a touch of orange on the seconds hand and screw-down crown, too. On top of that, the indices and hands are coated with C3 Super-LumiNova—making them easy to read in dark settings. Finally, as tribute to the Felix’s local origins, the caseback is engraved with a depiction of San Francisco’s 49-Mile Scenic Drive, a historic trip through the city’s most breathtaking views and points of interest.
The Most Comfortable Watch You’ve Ever Worn
Every aspect of the Felix is designed for comfort and freedom of movement. Measuring just 39.5 millimeters wide, it fits comfortably on any wrist. What’s more, the 4 o’clock crown stays out of the way whenever you bend your wrist. The case is atypical of traditional watch design. Sculpted like a bowl, it’s an elegant complement to the dial and case walls—something you won’t find on many other timepieces, let alone field watches. If you ever wish to change straps, the Felix is fitted with wire lugs and quick-release spring bars to simplify the process.
The Vintage Charm of Automatic Watches
The appeal of an automatic watch can’t be overstated. Absent of electronics, automatic timepieces are powered entirely by mechanical parts. Unlike quartz (battery-powered) watches, automatics—if worn consistently—will never stop ticking, with the seconds hand gliding around the dial in a mesmerizing sweep.
