INTRODUCTION

This booklet has been compiled to acquaint the consumer with the variety of our fast-to-light direct colors available for use on cotton and rayon materials. These dyes may be used alone or in combination to produce an unlimited number of light-resistant shades. They are particularly recommended for dyeing cotton and rayon dress-goods, upholstery materials, draperies, beach wear and similar fabrics which must withstand long exposures to sunlight.

Our fast-to-light direct colors are readily soluble and level and penetrate well so that they may be applied in all of the customary types of dyeing machines. Dyeing instructions and a tabulation of fastness properties have been included, but the procedure for application can only be general as details must be varied to meet local conditions and it is also advisable to test each product for fastness with reference to the particular purpose for which it is to be used.

Dyeings of each of our fast-to-light direct colors are presented on cotton and rayon piece-goods, and a range of combination shades has been included to serve as a basis for the production of the most widely used tones.
