Interesting Bits: Striking, handmade, contemporary mixed-metal, open circular copper cylindrical pendant necklace created by highly regarded American San Francisco designer metal-smith MARJORIE BAER. The pendant features an interior dangling bronze ring with a silver sphere which slides along the ring. The pendant hangs from a 1.5mm 14” bronze snake weave chain with a 4” bronze oval link extender creating an 18” necklace. The pendant necklace is wonderfully designed, sophisticated, elegant and expertly executed. The combination of shapes, textures, metals and materials creates a very unique modern pendant necklace, inspired, in part, by the remarkable ethnic pieces created in other cultures for centuries. Marjorie Baer is noted for incorporating inspiration from past cultures within her multi-metal pieces . Every piece is handmade and carefully executed. Baer is known for using the highest quality brass, copper and silver alloy elements in her very unique and captivating pieces which very specifically avoid the use of sterling silver or gold to exceptional advantage.
