Based on the play by George Bernard Shaw, this is the story of the Christian Androcles, who one day removes a huge thorn from the paw of a lion, creating a friend for life. Androcles is arrested along with other Christians and condemned to death in the arena, where his life friend the lion refuses to kill him.
