These are also a very popular option when looking for a pop up presentation using a coated hooklink material that makes this very similar to the Slip-D Rig. This can be fished over many different types of lakebed (apart from thick weed) by adjusting the length of the hooklink. These are best fished with a pop up hookbait so it will balance the rig perfectly
Chod Hooks
Chod hooks are designed with an out turned eye for effective presentation of pop-up baits. These hooks are the go-to hooks for most rigs which incorporate a buoyant hookbait as they give excellent hook holds!
These hooks are made from a High Carbon Steel which gives them superior strength compared to many other hooks on the market. These hooks are double PTFE (Teflon) coated which helps give the hook a silky-smooth finish for quicker hook penetration. These hooks are extremely sharp and can be filed down even further to near needle like points whilst remaining strong!
These hooks are available in 4, 6, and 8 in both Barbless and Micro Barbed.
Korda N-Trap Soft
Korda N-Trap Soft 20lb is used for the Hooklink material as this reflects no light and is PERFECT in many different situations. Due to the soft nature of this Hooklink it perfectly lays on the contours of the lake giving you excellent presentation! This is available in 3 colours which include Gravel Brown, Weedy Green and Silt. Make sure when ordering you match to the lakebed you will be fishing over!
No4 Shots
No4 Shots are used to weigh down the hookbait to make it critically balanced. When ordering make sure to test your hookbait and add putty if needed to give yourself the best presentation possible!
Hook Bait Mounts
Rig Ring – The rig rings used are 3.1mm Mini rings with a matt black non reflective coating to help prevent spooking wary carp. These allow the bait to move naturally with minimum movement of the hook.
Bait Screw – Bait Screws used are 12mm in length and are anti glare to allow perfect presentation of your chosen hookbait with more natural movement. Bait screws are becoming ever more popular due to the ease of use but also providing excellent presentation.
Micro Swivel – These are size 20 mini micro swivels with a matt black non reflective coating. These are small and flexible and excellent for presenting hookbaits naturally.
Anti Tangle Sleeves
Anti tangle sleeves are in my opinion ones of the most crucial parts of the modern-day carp rigs. They are designed, as the name suggests, to prevent line tangles. These sleeves allow you to fish in confidence knowing your hookbait and rig are not in a tangled mess!
The Anti Tangle Sleeves used in these rigs are 35mm long and come in Gravel Brown, Weedy Green and Silt colour!
