A rare find....

This is a brand new old stock Cartrivision video cassette still sealed in clear plastic.  I have had this cassette for years.

I use to own a Cartrivision video recorder back in 1974 when Cartrivision when out of business. 

This sealed cart has been in my display case in my den ever since.

A fond memory of the very first home video recorder.  I bought my machine right from the factory when it went out of business back in 1974. I was in Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as an electronics major.  I just had the guts, deck and fish tank electronics.  I put it all together and had it working for years also as a stereo audio recorder as well.  Many great memories of recording the Midnight Special on NBC that I recorded in stereo when they use to simulcast the sound on a local FM radio station.

This cassette is sealed and never opened. Stored in a smoke free home for years.  Don't know if it will play or not but my guess it will play fine  if you have a working machine. 

In any case it is sold AS-IS with no returns.

It has been stored under great conditions, sealed and household temps of 65 to 75 degrees..

I have 3/4 inch tapes older than this and they play just fine.

This cartridge holds `15 minutes of  1/2 inch video tape.
