Hal Galper Quintet Reach Out! SACD Hybrid SteepleChase TOWER RECORDS JAPAN

Product introduction

"There are wonderful recordings, and it's a really refreshing sound to listen to, and it's a wonderfully lively sound that doesn't look old even now." - Hiromi Wada

American pianist Hal Galper's unique quintet left for Steeplechase. With Randy on trumpet and tenor sax, Michael's Brecker Brothers, Wayne Dockery on bass, and Billy Hart on drums, it's a hot session. Four of the songs are Gyalper's originals, and three are standard songs, which are played with a highly motivated interpretation.

From the title song of the first song, the aggressive and hard piano sounds, Randy Brecker's approach full of inspiration and Michael Brecker's straight hard blows intersect, and the uplifting feeling of the dynamic rhythm is not odd. A hidden masterpiece that is unique in the Steeplechase catalog.
