Alta Suciedad is the name of the fifth studio album recorded by the Argentine musician Andres Calamaro. It was released by the WEA International record label on September 9, 1997. It was his first album of new songs, composed by the singer-songwriter in its entirety, after his separation from the band Los Rodriguez. The album managed to sell more than 700 thousand copies.
It was produced by Joe Blaney and recorded with Anglo-Saxon musicians in the United States. It is the second best-selling album of Argentine rock and Rolling Stone magazine ranked it tenth on its list of the 100 best Argentine rock albums.
It has been positioned in position 20 in the list The 250 essential albums of the Latin American rock of the North American magazine To the edge.
