- Why use a leader?

Whether for Trolling or Jig fishing from Braided line a monofilament leader is a great addition to increase your success of landing that trophy fish! Never fish those big jigs for tuna, marlin, wahoo, sailfish, etc. without a strong leader. That last 10' feet of line right to the jig or trolling lure take a huge abrasive beating when fighting big fish by rubbing on their face, body and taking constant tail kicks, head shakes, mouth and teeth grinding, and can rub on sharp parts of fins or gills.

Note: although I typically try my best to use the same materials as pictured there may rarely be times where I must use a slightly different crimp or connector, bead, swivel, etc. due to supply availability. This is very rare however and when it occurs it will never be a downgrade in quality of course.
