Traditionally sewn woven marine grade (cotton like) flag fabric Irish harp flag various sizes and fixtures

Irish harp flag traditionally sewn using woven polyester 155 g/sqm which is by far the most durable flag fabric on the market. Apart from its outstanding durability, woven flag fabric has a pleasant natural feel and non-shiny wool like appearance. It is treated for UV resistance and would fade much slower than natural fibres or non UV treated artificial flag fabrics. Separate pre-cut flag panels are sewn together using 'COATS' factory manufactured bonded nylon thread. The latter has superior abrasion resistance compared to generic cotton or core spun threads.

The fly and outer corners are additionally reinforced using multiple seams to keep the flag longer from premature fraying.

It is hard giving exact estimate on how long the fully sewn marine grade Irish flag should last. The general rule however is the properly sewn flag should outlast the inherent colour fading appearing due to natural UV radiation and air pollution. Please note a flag left flying in heavy storm for a longer time would obviously last less than expected.

Upon spotting first signs of premature fraying we recommend shipping the flag back to us for free repair works.
