Here is an interesting and rarely seen addition to any collector of the works of the famous artist, illustrator and sculptor McClelland Barklay. I believe that this art-deco patinated metal vase was created by Barclay during the Frankart & Nuart period prior to WW2 in which Barclay lost his life. The vase is 8", 5" deep and 6" wide and is signed in the mold along the bottom edge by McClelland Barklay. The vase weighs 3.25 lbs and has a 5" diameter flange at the top. The vase has areas of roughness as well as some losses to the original finish but still displays very well. In the beautiful condition shown with any damage or imperfection described and shown in the photos.
