This beautiful cast brass inkwell measures 16" across by 9 3/4" wide and features 2 inkwells and a blotter stand. It is cast with Cherubs, Storks, Dolphins - the Olde style - and a rococo design covering most of it's surface. The inkwells both have fliptop lids and the ink holder is removable for cleaning. I am unsure of the actual age because the surfaces show wear where it would be handled but sharp lines on the sides of the inkwells. The Handles and inkwells are attached to the base with flathead screws and it could be either a mass produced item or reproduction. Either way, it is very attractive and will be a nice decorative piece for home or office.
