Antique Flemish Art Pyrography Factory Design Tie/Stocking Box

An excellent example of a Pressed & Burned Factory Design! Beautiful Lady inside Medallion with Holly & Berries Design!

The Box was used for storing Ladies Hair Ties or Stockings.

The Lid was never attached to the box. The outer edges are not as heavily embossed as the design toward the center.

The Dove Tailed Flemish Art Glove Box Lid is Pressed with a Lovely Young Lady with Hair Bow inside a Medallion. There are Holly Leaves & Berries on each side of the medallion. In addition there are circles, leaves & pinecones The Design is also on the inside of the lid. The background is waves. The Front & Sides of the Box are pressed with holly leaves & berries. The holly leaves & berries on the top of the lid have been lightly painted. Nice look!

Written on the bottom of the box in pencil:

"24 Socks 48 Shirts".

Used condition. There are the normal scruffs & scratches to the tie/stocking box due to use & storage. There is a chip of wood missing from the top right corner of the lid & another chip is missing from the back right side. Dusty. Needs to be cleaned before use.
