This poses an enormous safety risk for all occupants. Therefore, tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) have been mandatory for all new vehicles in the EU since November 2014. HELLA offers a reliable and high-quality safety product with the battery-powered tyre pressure monitoring sensors. They are mounted directly in the respective wheel of the vehicle and measure the temperature as well as the pressure of the tyre. The measured value of the tyre pressure is transmitted by radio to the tyre pressure control unit. This emits an optical/acoustic warning message via the display unit in the event of a registered pressure loss.
